San Antonio's Largest Automotive Charity Festival
The Community of Automotive Professionals presents the 8th annual CarFest March 31-April 2, 2023 at the Freeman Coliseum Expo Hall.
CarFest San Antonio is the largest automotive charity festival in Texas! CAP’s goal is to help raise awareness and educate the motoring public about the automotive industry in a fun, family-friendly environment, as well as support our community.
The free event features events for car enthusiasts and the general public alike, including 10 FREE car giveaways, Friday Night Lights, automotive workshops, shopping, food trucks, chili and barbecue cook-offs, a kids’ car track, and more!
In the spirit of giving back, 25 cars will also be repaired onsite for community people in need nominated by reputable nonprofit organizations. Plus, new this year we added a comedy show, a young entrepreneur's marketplace, and animal adoption area by Petunia's Rescue. Bring the whole family for an event you’ll never forget!

Our local auto repair shop partners put in their time & effort to repair vehicles for those in need.

on distracted driving, play a game of New Driver Jeopardy, and get hands-on maintenance skills from professional auto technician.
Empower Auto Programs
in South Texas technical schools with a financial contribution. Funds given support Automotive programs with equipment, scholarship money to students and learning materials.

After a year of careful planning, CarFest finally launched at the Freeman Coliseum! 13 cars were given away to the general public.
2016
2017
The event was moved from the Freeman Coliseum (90K sq ft) to the Expo Halls (200K sq ft). Our new venue has double the square footage! We introduced our BBQ Cook-Off section. Local TV celebrities were added - David Elder
New Driver Workshop was added to teach basic car knowledge to teens learning to drive.

Reached an attendance of 13,000 people! Food Trucks were added to the event!
Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 shutdown, we were able to successfully fix five vehicles for individuals in need of transportation repairs. We gave $80K to 8 Automotive Technical Schools in Texas.
2020
2021
Despite the festival not taking place, we managed to repair 10 vehicles. We gave $80K to 8 Automotive Technical Schools in Texas.
After a two-year pause due to Covid-19, CarFest was relaunched.
2022
2023
The Community Hall now boasts a new Community Stage! We had an incredible weekend for the festival, with a record-breaking attendance of 15,000.
